More About Our Wet Dust Collector Equipment Offerings
Our NFPA/OSHA-compliant electrical package:
- Starts collectors when the process machinery is turned on
- Monitors water level to ensure proper CFM production
- Shuts down processing equipment and the wet collector when the water level is too low or too high
Additionally, our extended sump, stainless steel cover, and flange:
- Moves the inlet from vertical to horizontal position
- Eliminates 45° and 90° elbows off the back of the unit
- Allows a straight duct to attach to the flange located on top of the sump cover
Finally, our sludge vac is designed to vacuum sludge and water out of the wet collector sump and through a filter. Simply flip a switch, and filtered water is returned to the sump.
Specific components of the sludge vac include the following:
- Lightweight polypropylene front access door
- Silencer
- Stand
- Legs
- Overflow pan
- Explosion-proof motor
- Custom color
- Private label
The OSHA/NFPA-compliant electrical package starts from a closed contact at the process machinery, interrupting the circuit if the water level is too high or too low. This electrical package also includes an ultrasonic water level sensor and valve, hazardous gas exhaust vent, PLC, time delay, warning light, alarm, and NEMA 12 enclosure.
Every machine is tested and run before leaving our shop to ensure correct CFM production and that water doesn’t migrate up and out of the machine. When the correct water level is maintained, our wet dust collectors don’t weep, seep, or leak.

Factors to Consider When Choosing the Right Wet Dust Collection Equipment
There are a variety of factors to consider when finding the right wet dust collection system for your project, such as the:
- Dust being collected – This can include the dust type, density, size, toxicity, and moisture content.
- Size of the area being ventilated – When picking the right wet dust collector for combustible dust, make sure to determine the necessary airflow needed to effectively remove these particles from the source.
- Desired level of air quality and dust recovery – To comply with relevant industry standards, such as OSHA and other organizations, choose a wet dust collector that includes a higher air-to-cloth ratio, among other safety standards.
